Ohio State Buckeyes Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Ohio State Buckeyes football team has been in the news lately, not really because of how they’ve played. Instead, it’s when the Buckeyes play that’s gotten everyone in a frenzy.

Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff has featured Ohio State prominently this season—almost too prominently, though. While their next game is on the Big Ten Network, Ohio State is set to finish the season with six consecutive Noon kickoffs. Fox announced they’d broadcast Ohio State-Indiana, a game with massive Big Ten and College Football Playoff indications. That set a lot of Buckeye fans off.

But how do Ohio State players feel? Star wide receiver Carnell Tate revealed their feelings on the situation. In short, they actually love it.

“Oh, we love it,” Tate revealed. “We like to play Noon games. We like to wake up and go straight to the field and play. The earlier the game is, the more time you got in the back end of your day.”

So, there you have it. Tate’s perspective probably conflicts with many restless Buckeye fans, who just desperately want to see the team play in another timeslot. It’s a complicated situation, and there’s really no rescuing it, since everyone in the Big Ten pursued this with the deal with Fox.

So it goes. At least Buckeye fans can know their players are cool with it.
