The Texas Longhorns have continued bolstering their 2025 recruiting class before the 2024 regular season.
Earlier this week, the Longhorns landed a commitment from five-star linebacker Jonah Williams, one of the highest-ranked players to commit to the school under head coach Steve Sarkisian.
On Friday, the Longhorns landed another top recruit. Four-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench committed to the program Friday morning during a pep rally at his high school in Jacksonville, Florida.
Michael Ramirez of Duval County Schools shared a video of the ceremony and commitment.

Ffrench is a five-star recruit on multiple recruiting websites, including On3. He initially committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide in July 2023 but de-committed from the program following the retirement of longtime head coach Nick Saban.
Ffrench also had heavy interest from the LSU Tigers and Miami Hurricanes, but he explained to On3 on Friday morning what made him choose the Longhorns.
“There were a lot of challenges with LSU and Miami at different times, but since my first visit to Texas, they have been on top. That visit I took in spring put Texas on top and they just stayed the course,” Ffrench said.
Ffrench’s brother, Maurice, played for the Pittsburgh Panthers from 2017-19 and set the school record for receptions in a season with 96 in the 2019 campaign. Jordan Addison broke that record in 2021.
