The Ohio State Buckeyes have checked every box en route to the start of Big Ten play.
Ohio State cruised through nonconference play, defeating the Akron Zips, Western Michigan Broncos, and Marshall Thundering Herd by a combined 157-20 margin. The Buckeyes lead all Big Ten teams in total offense (552 yards per game) and points per game (52.3).
It’s a make-or-break season for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes, but fans who are looking forward to Saturday’s Big Ten opener against the Michigan State Spartans will have to wait just a bit longer than previously expected.
We have a time change: the @OhioStateFB game Saturday at Michigan State will start at 7:30 p.m. and not 7 p.m. as was previously announced. It will be streamed on Peacock.

Ohio State associate athletic director Jerry Emig announced Tuesday that the game would start at 7:30 p.m. ET, not 7 p.m., and will be exclusively on Peacock.
Should the Buckeyes emerge victorious, it’ll be their ninth straight win over the Spartans, which would set a new record for the longest win streak in the history of the head-to-head matchup. As it stands now, Ohio State is tied for their longest win streak over the Spartans with eight games, a mark they previously reached from 1965-73.
Additionally, an Ohio State win would mark their 13th straight season starting Big Ten play 1-0 or better.
