The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have nabbed ACC quarterbacks in the transfer portal in each of the past two seasons, starting Wake Forest Demon Deacons transfer Sam Hartman in the 2023 season and Duke Blue Devils transfer Riley Leonard for the 2024 season.

If it wasn’t enough for Notre Dame to be taking from ACC teams in the portal, Marcus Freeman and his staff flipped an ACC quarterback commit this week, as well.

Monday night, Blake Hebert, a 2025 four-star quarterback who committed to the Clemson Tigers in the summer of 2023, announced on X that he was de-committing from the Tigers. He committed to Notre Dame shortly after.

Hebert replaces 2025 dual-threat quarterback Deuce Knight, who de-committed from Notre Dame two weeks ago and committed to the Auburn Tigers.

After spending his first three high school seasons at Massachusetts’ Central Catholic High School, Hebert transferred to Connecticut’s Brunswick School for his senior season.

Hebert is the sixth-ranked dual-threat passer in ESPN’s Class of 2025 recruiting rankings.
