Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty has taken the nation by storm this season.
The junior running back has been the best in college football in 2024. He’s rushed for 1,248 yards and 17 touchdowns on an eye-popping 9.9 yards per carry.
Jeanty is almost guaranteed to garner an invitation to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in December, and he may forgo his senior year and declare for the NFL Draft.
On Monday, Jeanty announced that he wanted to give back to the university and launched a new football scholarship bearing his name.
I’m launching a football scholarship at Boise State to help future Broncos realize their dreams. Will you join me? More info in this link – https://t.co/dOsaPw7tnZ (https://t.co/dOsaPw7tnZ) pic.twitter.com/rU90Y1oNju

“Bronco Nation, thanks for the outpouring of support for me and my teammates. Many of you have reached out to ask what you can do to help me leave a legacy. Here’s your opportunity. I’m launching the Ashton Jeanty Endowed Scholarship for football. Join me in building this scholarship fund to support future Broncos and help them realize their dreams. Go Broncos,” Jeanty said in a video posted to his X account. He also shared a link to where fans and supporters can donate and help fund the scholarship.
It may not just be a particular season for Jeanty but for Boise State itself. The Broncos are ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll and are 5-1. A win in this week’s game against the 6-1 UNLV Rebels could send Boise into first place in the Mountain West and may lead to the team landing a College Football Playoff spot if they keep winning for the rest of the season.
