We’ve seen some pretty hideous alternate uniforms over the years, but perhaps nothing as absurd and grotesque as Florida’s new “Swamp Green,” gator-print uniforms.
Unveiled on Monday for the Gators’ Saturday home game against Texas A&M, they look like a parody of an alternate uniform.
Let’s start with the monochromatic hunter green hue that looks absolutely wretched. Then there’s the jersey with a gator-print pattern on it.
The only decent part of the uniforms is the matte black helmet with the gator logo on it.
Aside from that, these belong at the bottom of a swamp, not on the field at The Swamp.
