Quinn Ewers is one of college football’s brightest stars. The Texas quarterback led the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff last season and hopes to do the same this year. While he deals with an oblique strain, Ewers can be proud of his work so far. Texas went to Michigan and dismantled the Wolverines in the Big House in one of the best wins of the season. Head coach Steve Sarkisian is more than pleased with how the star quarterback’s played.

Ahead of Texas’ matchup with UL Monroe this weekend, Sarkisian stopped to praise Ewers heartily at his press conference.

Sarkisian said that all of the goals that Ewers can still accomplish are stil right in front of him, and he thinks he can achieve them.

“Sarkisian said he can be in New York for the Heisman Trophy presentation, win or lose, and become a Top 5 pick,” Texas reporter Anwar Richardson wrote.

Ewers may have to rally back after getting injured, but he still stands as good a chance as anyone to receive an invite to New York City this December. The last Texasp layer to win the Heisman Trophy was the great Ricky Williams. Quinn Ewers hopes to change that for the Longhorns at the conclusion of the 2024 college football season.
