Before he played 13 NBA seasons and was named to two All-Star teams, Carlos Boozer was a forward for Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils.

Boozer’s three seasons at Duke saw him average 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game alongside fellow future NBA players Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Jay Williams. Duke won the 2001 NCAA Championship in Boozer’s sophomore season, and he declared for the NBA Draft after his junior year, ending his time with the Blue Devils.

The Boozer lineage will continue at Duke, though, as the big man’s twin sons, Cameron and Cayden, announced Friday that they would be playing for head coach Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils.

“I’m proud of them. They’ve worked their butts off for this moment. Really excited that they took their time. Decided to play together in college, which is amazing. They both complement each other so well. They made the best decision for them. Me and mom couldn’t be any prouder. It’s going to be a fun journey,” the elder Boozer told ESPN Friday.

Both Cameron and Cayden are five-star players in ESPN’s rankings. Cameron is a 6’9 forward who is the second-ranked prospect in ESPN’s 2025 rankings. He led Nike EYBL’s U17 spring circuit with 24.5 points and 13.4 rebounds per game, and won FIBA gold medals in both the U16 and U17 World Cups, putting on dominant displays in both.

Cayden, a point guard, is ranked No. 19 on ESPN’s 2025 rankings. He also excelled during EYBL, leading the circuit with 6.5 assists per game last spring. He also has a pair of FIBA gold medals.

The Boozers are Duke’s first commits in the Class of 2025.
